The Central Operations team is the employee segment of MBC whose mission is to equip, empower and support all other entities of McLean Bible Church. All full time positions listed on this page fall into that category.   

In this difficult economic time, MBC is carefully evaluating every staffing position that opens up to determine if the need is critical and whether we need to fill the position immediately. Each of the following positions has been determined to be critical and we are seeking to fill them with qualified individuals with a heart to serve the Lord. Individuals who can serve as an example to the adults and children we serve here at MBC. Individuals who have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior with demonstrated lifestyle and conduct  consistent with MBC's Vision, Values, Standards of Christian Conduct and What We Teach.

FULL TIME POSITIONS

Positions at 40 hours per week -- eligible for healthcare, dental, life and disability insurance along with participation in retirement plan.

ONLINE COMMUNITY MANAGER
Full time position responsible to collaborate with communications team staff and campus pastors to develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-campus online strategy, including MBC Live, the MBC family of websites, mobile applications, social media, internet TV, and new media.  Looking for an organized, task oriented individual with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Must be able to work well with and train others as this position would also be responsible for training staff on social media.
Responsibilities:
·         Execute red-zone responsibilities for MBC Live Sunday worship services and special
           webcasts, including the management of the video feed to the Internet, A/V switching, and
           the back-end software functions .
·         Assist and encourage online congregation through live chat, email and social networks.
·         Maintain and manage content of MBC's family of websites, mobile application(s) and
           internet TV application.
·         Manage MBC central social media properties including video uploading, planning and
           implementing weekly editorial calendar.
·         Social Media consulting and planning for MBC ministries and other church related
           projects.
·         Manage vendor relationships and billing.
·         Other duties as may be required.
Skills Required:  Knowledge of HTML5, xHTML, CSS, JQuery, Wordpress, PHP, Writing & Editing.  Flexibility for weekends required.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - BUILDING SERVICES
Full time position responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of MBC campuses including all phases of building maintenance, painting, sheetrock work, etc. Assists with buildouts and new construction projects, i.e. offices, office cubes at MBC Campuses. Position also assists plant engineers with maintaining, installing and repairing of HVAC systems, pneumatic, fire/sprinkler systems and the inspection and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment. Other responsibilities include assisting where needed with plumbing, painting, shoveling snow and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of boilers, chillers and all phases of building maintenance. Working knowledge of computer applications with good verbal communication skills. Must be able to be a supportive team member but able to work on own with little or no supervision on assigned projects. Looking for dependable individual who is trustworthy and hardworking with a teachable spirit and a desire to learn and grow in building maintenance field. Some week nights, weekends or evening may be required. The Maintenance Technician could be required to work the night shift for one week of every month, including the weekend. The hours during that week will be 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The schedule will be handled on a rotation basis.

PART TIME POSITIONS

Positions at less than 40 hours per week -- may be eligible for limited benefits.

STAFF CHILDCARE SUPERVISOR 
Part time position at 32 hours per week to oversee childcare provided for children of MBC staff members.  Program operational on Mondays through Thursdays of each week. Position reports to Human Resources department.  Individual would be first point of contact for staff members interested in taking advantage of this benefit.  Individual responsible for hiring, training, and developing childcare workers.  Must be able to develop age appropriate activities for infants and children up to 3 years of age.  Individual will be expected to actually care for the children 3 out of the 4 days with the fourth day being dedicated to administrative tasks such as scheduling, timesheet approval, etc.  Looking for individual with a love for imparting the love of Christ to little ones and their parents.
Requirements:  College degree with 2-3 years experience in an actual childcare environment or "mom" experience.  Intermediate level of expertise with Microsoft Word applications.  Strong administrative skills with excellent verbal and written communications skills in the English language.  Must be able to communicate effectively with parents regarding all contract and programming details.

COFFEE SHOP TEAM LEADER
Part time position working 10 hours per week.  Team Leader will operate the registers and coffee/expresso machines and supervise the rest of the team to assure that excellent customer service is provided.  The Team Leader will supervise Coffee Shop Assistants in duties such as replenishing stock items on the work line, cleaning equipment and general cleanup during their down time, and will be responsible for coordinating weekly schedules and approving time reports.  The Team Leader is responsible for the Coffee Shop safe and maintaining financial accuracy.  Also responsible for ordering food and supplies and completing monthly inventory.
Requirements: High School graduate with minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.  Excellent customer service skills with aptitude for administrative tasks. Flexibility for weekends required.

STAFF COUNSELOR, LEVEL II - COUNSELING CENTER
Part time position working 20+ client hours per week.  Looking for a licensed professional counselor (LPC) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to serve on staff of the MBC Counseling Center providing individual, couples, family and group counseling integrating biblical principles of spirituality with proven sound clinical skills.  Position reports to Director of Counseling Center. This position serves adults and couples and will predominantly serve most of our male clientele.  
Requirements:  Master's in Counseling or Social work with licensure which translates into 3-4 years of relevant experience.  Licensed in VA with “LPC”, “LPFT” or “LCSW” Licensure.  Knowledge Areas: general practice; couples; family; substance or sexual addiction.   Intermediate level of computer application skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with flexibility for weekends.
