Music Ministry
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Our goal at McLean Bible Church is not merely to have good music on Sunday. We want our instrumentalists and vocalists to understand and apply the Gospel to their life and work throughout the week so that we can positively impact the world we live in. We are committed to building community among our volunteers who love the Lord and enjoy serving Him together. Each weekend brings new opportunities to worship God in new, exciting and creative ways. We're looking forward to having you be a part of our ministry!
VOCALISTS
Vocalists who have been auditioned are official members of the choir. The choir sings in Sunday services once a month. Membership in the choir and attendance of rehearsals is the springboard to singing solos and co-leading with our main campus Worship Leader. Choir rehearsals are held in the Main Auditorium at the Prince William Campus on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
INSTRUMENTALISTS
Instrumentalists who have been auditioned will be scheduled to play according to the worship set and the style of songs selected. A different band is scheduled every weekend. Volunteers who are new to MBC may be asked to spend more time learning the ins and outs of a particular style or song before being scheduled to play.
AUDITIONS
All members of the Music Ministry are auditioned vocalists and instrumentalists who serve on a volunteer basis. Auditions are held regularly on Tuesdays in the Main Auditorium of the campus. If you're interested in auditioning:
- Please read our Audition Requirements.
- Download the Vocal Audition Form or the Instrumental Audition Form.
- Complete form online and email it back to our Worship Leader, Alyce Metallo.
GUIDELINES
Here are a few of our most important expectations:
- It is expected that you cultivate your relationship with the Lord. All members of the music ministry must be involved in a small group or Bible study.
- It is expected that you serve for both weekend services - 9:00AM and 10:45AM and attend all rehearsals associated with the preparation for the weekend.
For more information, please email Alyce Metallo.
